Left Wing

An exceptional, but one-dimensional playmaker. Hands and vision are both off the charts and are already at an NHL level. His work on the PP is excellent and he is potentially is the best powerplay passer of any player in this class. Well-positioned and smart but lacks the energy, pace, and skating that I look for. Can occasionally lay a hit, but most of the time is a non-factor physically. At 5’10” with below average skating, he lacks the physical tools needed to be a consistent contributor without the puck. Puck skills are deceptive and excellent– allows him to adjust quickly and thread passes to open players he finds. Hard for defenders to read when he has the puck. Most of his on-ice value comes from a couple killer plays per game as demonstrated by his assist to Gauthier in the final where he skated from the half-wall to the corner and threaded a pass to Gauthier, who was open in the slot. Will be a high-scoring player in the WHL this season.
